Introduction to Sewage Pump Selection
Jun 17, 2026| GW Inline Sewage Pump
Features: The inlet and outlet are on the same straight line. It can be directly installed in series on the pipeline just like a valve. Featuring a small footprint and dry installation, it can be mounted on the ground or in pipe galleries. No large foundation is required, and it can be directly flanged to connect with pipelines.
Applications: Pipeline pressurization, building water supply & drainage, sewage and media with light impurities, working conditions with limited space where a large base is undesired.
Not suitable for: Conditions where the liquid level is lower than the pump body, self-priming requirements, or submerged installation inside a water tank.
LW Vertical Sewage Pump
Features: Vertical base-mounted structure. The pump casing sits below the motor, delivering superior suction performance for water extraction from tanks. Dry installation enables easy maintenance; the explosion-proof version is available for chemical sewage service.
Applications: Suction from the ground side of sewage tanks, industrial wastewater treatment, sewage containing small solids. Ideal for working conditions requiring high suction lift and on-ground dry maintenance.
Not suitable for: Inline pipeline boosting or sites with limited vertical space.
QW Submersible Sewage Pump
Features: The whole unit operates submerged under water, free from cavitation issues. No pump house is required and it runs with low noise.
Applications: Direct installation in sewage tanks/sump pits. For basement drainage, municipal sewage and septic tank wastewater. The liquid level must fully submerge the pump during operation.
Not suitable for: Dry ground operation, high-temperature media, or conditions where submergence is not allowed. Underwater maintenance is inconvenient.
ZW Self-priming Sewage Pump
Features: The ZW self-priming has excellent self-priming performance and can automatically exhaust air from the suction line, making it suitable for applications where the pump is installed above the liquid level.
Applications: Suitable for on-ground installation, widely used for basement sewage drainage, municipal sewage treatment, industrial wastewater delivery, septic tank drainage and circulating water transfer. No full submergence is required during operation.
Not suitable for: Long-term dry running, high-temperature media, strongly corrosive liquids, and working conditions with large hard particles that may cause blockage. The pump cannot be installed underwater.
