Secondary Water Supply Market: Over RMB 1 Billion Worth Of Projects Launched Intensively, Pump Manufacturers Enter Peak Order Season

Jul 21, 2026|

As the third quarter of 2026 kicks off, the national secondary water supply market sees a concentrated rollout of new projects. The newly revised Hygienic Specifications for Secondary Water Supply Facilities (GB 17051-2025) was officially implemented on June 1. Meanwhile, the State Council's Water Supply Regulations bring secondary water supply facilities under standardized regulatory oversight. Driven by both stock facility renovation and new construction demand, a large number of secondary water supply projects across the country have been put out for tender in Q3.

According to incomplete statistics from Pump Industry Circle, more than 15 key projects have entered the tendering or construction phase since July, covering Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hubei, Tianjin, Chongqing and other provinces and municipalities, with a total investment exceeding RMB 1 billion. For pump manufacturers, this represents a window of booming orders, as well as a litmus test for their technical strength and after-sales service capacity.
